Today was a great day!
I know I haven’t posted for a while, but I was busy working on Donkey Live!, an upcoming Universal Studios Singapore attraction at Super 78 Films. I really enjoyed working for a strong team of people and learned greatly from the experience. I had an opportunity to work on 4D attractions and an interactive experience. I have to say I am very proud that I had a chance to show and use my skills to help the production. It is an awesome feeling.
So now the production is over and I have the opportunity to work on Captured Melody full time. But the truth is I still have a lot to learn on my quest to raise the money for the film and provide a roof over my head, but I am determined and doing it. Making a film from scratch is a labor of love. It takes hard work, dedication and perseverance. I cannot give up. Completing Captured Melody will be a great accomplishment which could provide the path to so many other doors. Whatever they may be, only the universe knows.
As for the film and the production company, I’ve gotten more aggressive and have hired a graphic designer to do my business cards and create the Shark Byte Entertainment Logo. I’ve also been getting quotes for the shirts to be redesigned for print and also have been researching wholesalers for the shirts. I’m planning to get this stuff going soon. I need to take another trip to the downtown fashion district to see if I can purchase some shirts. It seems like so much stuff. Since I was working full time, I had limited time to do this. I was also thinking about selling some soaps, incense and candles on the site too; just in time for the holidays. Yeah I may have missed Halloween, but we’ll see.
Today I took the next step to move further in my film pursuits and am hiring pitch coach Jill Gilbert of One Plus Productions. Jill has years of experience in the entertainment industry and has a passion for storytelling. We are going to get focused to create a pitch for myself, the film and the production company. Jill comes highly recommended and I look forward to getting some homework and honing into my personal story. As I move forward with Jill I will be sharing my experience on this blog, but not give away too much. I’m looking forward to focusing my energy and moving in the right direction to get Captured Melody funded and put Shark Byte Entertainment on the map.
In addition to having this awesome meeting today with Jill, I got called to do a meet and greet with another animation studio, perhaps for a possible job. So I hope all goes well.
Bless the Universe for bringing great people into my life.
